1. Why do I need to provide an email address to order ?
A. In order to establish and maintain business communications relevant to fulfilling orders placed with MapVersa.com we require an email address. We also need the mail address to deliver the Daily News Letter.

2. Do you provide registration information to any third party ?
A. MapVersa.com does not give any customer or user information to third parties. See the main Privacy Policy for details.

3. What projection do we use for our world maps ?
A. We use the UTM / GCS projection. We can work out on any specified projection in which your Area of Interest falls.

4. How up to-date is your mapping ?
A. All our products, wherever possible, has a publication date printed. The products that we create and maintain internally are updated on a yearly basis.

5. What is a political map ?
A. A political map shows all the countries demarcated in different colour. All MapVersa political maps also include hill shading, one of the aspects that has made them as popular as they are now.

6. What is a physical map?
A. A physical map provides information about the terrain and relief of an area and is generally coloured in greens and browns.

7. I want a map of a different size/projection to the one’s you have online – can you do this?
A. We can cater for any request on our products.

8. I don’t like ordering online. Can I order in any other way?
A. You can CONTACT our customer services representatives at our offices. We accept all major credit cards. Also please check our security procedures as listed on the site.

9. I want to order multiple number of products – are there any discounts?
A. If you wish to order more than 20 items, please contact us and we may be able to offer you a better discount.

10. How much do you charge for delivery?
A. We charge delivery depending on the amount ordered. Delivery is calculated prior to adding VAT or any discounts being applied.

11. What uses do customized maps have?
A. Customized maps have many uses and continue to be a popular option for small to very large businesses. Customized maps can be centered on any location or cover any area, therefore meaning that you can cover only the area that you require.
Possible uses for Customized maps are as Covering and marking out sales or delivery territories, including postcode boundaries if necessary.
Using it as a customer service tool, for example in a branch to show customers where certain roads or areas are – especially useful within Estate or Letting Agencies.
Use for route planning – also measure distances accurately using our scaled mapping.
Use to plan sales and marketing activities, even record main data on the maps using our maps write on wipe off finish.
Use it as a marketing tool at conferences/exhibitions, communicating effectively with your current or prospective clients.

12. Can I have additional information added to my map relating to my own business?
A. Yes – you can have any additional information added to your map.

13. I need administrative boundaries on my map but don’t know exactly which to choose?
A. For a small extra cost you are able to add Administrative boundaries to your map. Administrative Boundaries are the different levels of classification that government and local government use to The boundaries that are available to you are as follows:

  • International
  • State
  • District
  • Talukas
  • PinCode
For a small extra cost you are able to add one or two levels of administrative boundaries to your map. To keep the quality of our maps at the highest possible standard you are only able to choose two levels of boundaries to add to your map.

14. I need postcode details on the map but am unsure which level to choose?
A. For a small extra cost, you are able to add Postcode data to your map. Postcodes are the reference system for the Indian postal system as developed by Annova Technologies Pvt Ltd.

15.I can’t find exactly what I want on the website, can you fulfill my specific requirement?
A. MapVersa is confident that it can provide a solution for any mapping query. Our team is always on hand to talk over any specific issues you may have with your map.

16. I’m not sure about ordering on-line, is there someone I can talk with regarding my requirements ?
A. You can complete your order over the phone. All you need to do is confirm your order, so that you are able to see to all the confirmation of order details. Then all you need to do is CONTACT US and one of our customer services staff will be able to help through the form with you and then take your credit/debit card details to confirm your order.

17. What are the licensing agreements?
A. Each product comes with it’s own licensing agreement which can be checked on the description page. Also the licensing agreement will be included in the CD that you receive your product on.

18. I need a specific format. Is there a choice?
A. If there is a choice of formats we will ask you to choose your preferred option prior to confirming your order. If the format you require is not listed,please feel free to call us, we may be able to supply it differently. We usually deliver the Digital data in the following formats…

  • Arc Shape Files
  • Map Info MID/MIF
  • SVG formats
  • Arc Exchange files(E00s)
Other than this if you want your data to be delivered in any other format, please specify and we will satisfy your needs.

19. I need a map which is not in your list. Can it be delivered?
A. Yes, just give us a mail with the details of the map and the details to be put on the map you need and it will be delivered in 2 weeks from the date of receipt of your information. For such enquires, we have put a status called ‘MAPS ON REQUEST/DEMAND'

20. What is DTM data?
A. DTM represents the topography of the earth surface along with the landuse/landcover information such as vegetation,buildings and other cultural features.

21. In what resolution and file formats do you provide the DTM?
A. We can provide the DTM in any resolution you require-2.5m, 5m, 10M, 15m, 25m etc. The DTM can be available to you in

  • Map Info MID/MIF
  • Tems Format
  • Asset Format
  • MapInfo Format
  • GeoTiff and Shape File format
Other than this if you want your data to be delivered in any other format, please specify and we will satisfy your needs.
